This presentation explores the key principles of JIP33, an initiative led by the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) and with support from the World Economic Forum, aimed at creating standardized procurement specifications.
JIP33 promotes standardized production, reduced inventories, and shorter lead times, while allowing users the flexibility to avoid modifications or additional requirements. Mark Davies shows how to write requirements, streamlined and aligned with ISO directives, INCOSE, EARS, and terminology libraries.

Mark Davies is the director and owner of HAAR Technology & Engineering, an independent engineering consultancy based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk in the UK. He is currently working as a technical consultant (external) to the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP) JIP33. Davies is a mechanical engineer with more than 35 years engineering experience in the semiconductor, instrumentation, subsea, and water mist fire protection industries in a design or project management capacity.
