NEXCOM Expands IoT Service Offerings

The company is continuing development for applications such as robotics, connected cars and security.

For the coming year, NEXCOM is expanding its Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The initiative will also cover robotics, Industry 4.0, connected cars, responsive stores and security for the industrial IoT.

According to a company press release, NEXCOM will continue develop vertical clouds that act as IoT gateways as well as complete PaaS (platform-as-a-service) offerings. These vertical clouds can send data analysis to computers and mobile devices at anytime for a variety of industries.

To further robotics, the company has established an R&D integration center and develops EtherCAT controllers. NEXCOM is also a provider of digital-physical responsive store solutions.

Additionally, as part of its smart device development, the company will further establish its connected car solutions that integrate in-vehicle data, data communications and sensors to provide real-world information.

“Years of experience in vertical markets not only paid off but also gave us advanced edges on IoT competition. We had a more equal regional distribution of the revenues: 28% from the Americas, 26% from Europe, 28% from Asia, and 18% from China.
