Omega has introduced its new series of non-contact infrared temperature transmitters. The OS151-USB series features max, min average and instantaneous readings; peak or valley hold; reflected energy compensation; OPC server capabilities; and a response time 240 mS to 90 percent.
The 4 to 20 mA output is compatible with almost any indicator, controller, recorder, data logger, etc., without the need for special interfacing or signal conditioning. According to the company, its stainless steel housing and 15:1 or 30:1 optics makes it ideal for most applications associated with liquids, motors, plumbing, food, storage containers, received goods, grocery store areas, and kitchens as well as refrigerated rooms, maintenance, manufacturing, chemical plants, and oil refineries.
