Keithley Instruments Launches New Multimeter

The device has a 5 in. capacitive touchscreen and built-in support for low resistance applications.

Keithley Instruments, a provider of electrical test instruments and systems, has introduced the DMM7510 Digit Graphical Sampling Multimeter. The device includes a high-accuracy multimeter, digitizer for waveform capture and a capacitive touchscreen user interface.

For measurement capabilities, the DMM7510 has resolution levels from 3½ to 7½ digits, auto-calibration, 14ppm basic one-year DCV accuracy and expanded measurement ranges (100mV, 1Ω and 10µA). It also offers signal sampling with a 1MS/sec, 18-bit digitizer.

The device’s 5 in. touchscreen enables users to interact with the signals they are collecting. With this capability, users can pan, pinch, zoom and set cursors for flexible signal capture, the company states.

Other functions include built-in support for low resistance applications, data storage on USB drives, built-in graphing utility supports and connections and controls for configuring multi-instrument test solutions.

“To get an in-depth understanding of their devices under test, engineers need to capture small signals at higher accuracy and faster speeds than traditional DMMs can provide,” says Jerry Janesch, a senior market development manager at Keithley. “The DMM7510’s intuitive operation and high speed digitizer allow it to address a wide range of test applications, including device characterization, debugging, and analysis; production test/ATE (automated test equipment); and applications in research labs and universities.”
