Mark the date: Digital Engineering Senior Editor Kenneth Wong will moderate the upcoming Revolution in Simulation webinar, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. ET. The topic of this not-to-miss industry roundtable is: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in Cutting Edge Simulation.

The roundtable discussion, hosted by Revolution in Simulation and Digital Engineering (DE 24/7), will explore 3 targeted areas where artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are anticipated to usher in radical transformation. A panel of experts from industry and end-user companies will share in the discussion.

Specifically, experts from Altair, Neural ConceptMicrosoft, as well as industry practitioners will convey their ideas with practical, real-world examples of use of AI and machine learning to enhance simulation while simultaneously highlighting potential pitfalls of this approach.

The three conversation points of focus on the table are:

  1. How AI/ML can make sophisticated simulation programs more accessible with its natural language processing, bypassing the menus and parameter-centric dialog boxes required to set up standard and complicated simulations. Can this be the missing link that democratizes the use of simulation by non-experts?
  2. How it can speed up simulation jobs and cut costs by analyzing past simulations to narrow down the calculations to a small set of parameters that affects the design’s performance the most. Would this be akin to simulation experts guiding the design towards a better one or even to optimality?
  3. How it can improve simulation accuracy and turnaround time by leveraging pattern recognition to identify repetitions in commonly executed simulations on families of products.

About the Moderator
