The newest additions to iKey’s line of industrial trackball keyboards are built to withstand dirty, wet, and corrosive environments. Their compact size, combined with the convenience and precision of a 25-mm laser trackball, make them suited for applications where space is at a premium.
“We chose to integrate the 25-millimeter laser trackball into our newest trackball keyboards due to its proven durability and patented sealing technology,” says Dave Huddleston, iKey operations manager. “The compact dimensions allowed us to dramatically reduce the overall footprint compared to our other keyboards with integrated trackballs.”
The DU-5K-TB model combines the layout of one of iKey’s most popular industrial keyboards, the DU-5K, with an integrated 25-mm laser trackball. It is manufactured with an industrial silicone rubber keypad in an ABS polycarbonate case and measures 14.94 x 6.63 x 1.81 in.
The DBL-810-TB model is also built with a 25-mm laser trackball and features red or green LED backlit keys for low-light environments. It is manufactured with an industrial silicone rubber keypad in a stainless steel case and measures 14.80 x 5.72 x 1.32 in.
Both of the new trackball keyboards are sealed and meet NEMA 4X specifications. Each can withstand storage temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C, and operating temperatures ranging from 0°C to +65°C.
