16-channel, 500kHz 16-bit data acquisition PCI Express cards

Strategic Test Corp. (Woburn, MA)  announced two new 500Ksps 16-bit data acquisition (DA) cards for PCI Express. The UF2e-4731 has 16 analog inputs and the UF2e-4730 has 8 inputs. Features include options for dual-timebase sampling, synchronous digital inputs,  asynchronous digital I/O, and the ability to synchronize hundreds of channels.

Drivers and programming examples for Microsoft Windows Vista, XP64, XP and Linux are supplied with the card, as well as the SBench 5.3 oscilloscope program. SDKs for MATLAB, LabVIEW, Agilent-VEE, DASYLab, and LabWindows/CVI are available as options.

Key specifications include 128 mega samples of memory — expandable to 2 giga samples; continuous streaming to host PC greater than 120Msps; effective number of bits is greater than 14.4 bits; signal-to-Noise ratio greater than 88.7dB;  total harmonic distortion less than -92.5dB; and standard -3dB bandwidth is greater than 250kHz.

Each channel its own 500kHz ADC for true simultaneous sampling, together with eight voltage ranges from ±50mV to ±10V, a programmable offset of 100 percent and input impedances of 50Ohm or 1MOhm, allowing each channel to be individually configured for the signal source.

Like all UltraFast boards, the UF2e-473x scope cards can be customized with hardware options to best match the application. Prices start at $5499 with volume/OEM discounts available.

Software Development Kits are available for Microsoft Windows (Vista, XP64, XP, 2000,  NT), Linux (RedHat, Debian, SuSe, Fedora, Sarge), LabVIEW, MATLAB,  LabWindows/CVI, DASYLab, Agilent-VEE and Excel.
