dSPACE has expanded its SCALEXIO hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system by introducing the DS2690 Digital I/O Board, designed especially for body electronics. The DS2690 provides a high number of digital channels that cover all variants and functions of digital I/O signals, the company says.
The flexibility to reprogram the functionality of the I/O channels lets users adapt the HIL test system to different electronic control units (ECUs). Body electronics ECUs with flexible I/O definitions matching variants of a vehicle platform can now be tested with the same HIL.
Connecting real loads and substitute loads to the DS2690 allows users to execute ECU tests under realistic conditions. It provides an integrated failure routing unit (FRU) to perform failure simulation. The new hardware therefore integrates seamlessly into the existing SCALEXIO failure simulation concept.
The board provides a large number of digital input and output channels and can easily be integrated into a SCALEXIO system, the company says. The configuration is performed graphically with dSPACE’s software ConfigurationDesk.
