RS Precision is providing visitors an “up close” view of small parts during the Atlantic Design and Manufacturing Show in New York’s Javits Center June 8-10. Using iPad technology, RS Precision will showcase its EDM and micro-machining capabilities through touchscreen images of small and complex parts.
In addition, RS Precision will host a “Count the Smallest Parts” contest. Visitors can submit their best guess at the number of micro-machined parts contained in a display. The person who comes closest to the actual count will win a free Apple iPad, courtesy of RS Precision.
RS Precision recently acquired a Mitsubishi EA8PV-Advance, which is capable of producing holes down to .001-in. diameter, and holes to .006-in. diameter with aspect ratios greater than 10:1. According to the company, there are only two of these machines in the United States.
