PSA Peugeot Citroen to Host FIRST Automotive Material Intelligence Consortium

Granta Design has revealed the initial members of the new Automotive Material Intelligence Consortium, which is hosted by PSA Peugeot Citroen in Paris on October 23.

Among the collaborative are members from General Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, KSPG AC and PSA. The project is targeting material challenges including lightweighting, emissions reduction, supply chain risk and integrating materials into design, simulation and PLM (product lifecycle management).

The three-year initiative will bring together further OEMs (original equipment manufacturing) and suppliers in the automotive and off-highway vehicle sectors, a press release states. The project is open to any organization in related sectors interested in applying materials information technology.
