Protocase has added a consolet to its online template generator tool. The design has been parameterized so that users can enter their desired dimensions, and Template Generator will design a base enclosure automatically and email it to them.
The e-mailed template can be modified as needed in CAD software by adding cutouts, fasteners, hardware, etc.
The Protocase cutout library now includes more than 85 CAD drawings of cutout patterns for common enclosure and panel mount accessories, including fans, switches, LEDs, receptacles, and more. Drawings are available in .pdc (Protocase Designer Cutout), .sldprt (Solidworks part file), and .dxf formats.
The library may be browsed and files downloaded free of charge.
