New Acrylic Added to Rapid Sheet Metal’s Suite of Available Materials

Specialists in rapid turnaround of sheet metal and stamped metal prototypes, Rapid Sheet Metal, Inc., (Nashua, NH) has added a plastic material, acrylic, to its list of available materials. Acrylic parts in the flat very useful for product designers who can use them for bezels and face plates, among other things. Also used as a substitute for G10, acrylic can be used to prototype the footprint of a circuit board. With a standard shipping lead-time of 5 business days or less, flat acrylic prototypes can be available in a week or less to product designers.
Rapid Sheet Metal also has an inhouse silk screening service so that companies can get finished acrylic parts with graphics included in under two weeks’ time. Rapid Sheet Metal offers laser cut acrylic in thicknesses from 0.060-in. to 0.250-in. and stocks acrylic in thicknesses of 0.060 in., 0.125 in., and 0.250-in. thicknesses. Other thicknesses are available.
