Maingear has updated its Quantum SHIFT workstation, which is designed for scalability and performance on large data files and multi-threaded applications.

The company’s Quantum SHIFT PC workstations support XML, EDL, and OMF import/export and networked storage.

The workstations can be equipped with a variety of new NVIDIA Quadro professional graphics solutions based on NVIDIA Fermi architecture, Intel processors in single or multi-CPU configurations, and up to 12 SSD or nine mechanical hard drives.
