First Trace Releases Kinnosa 4.1 for EDM

FirstTrace, Inc. (Phoenix, AZ) released Kinnosa 4.1for engineering document management (EDM) of complex CAD files and designprocesses. New enhancements have been added to Kinnosa’s service-orientedarchitecture (SOA) to improve engineering enterprises’ visibility of criticaldata, improve collaboration among distributed teams, and automate businessprocesses.

Kinnosa’sSOA and open data repository make it an adaptable software solution for managingengineering files produced by CAD tools from Autodesk, SolidWorks, and BentleySystems.

Applicationadd-ins place Kinnosa functionality directly into the menu bar of CAD tools andMicrosoft Office programs so engineering and office users can easily managefiles from within the programs they use daily. Kinnosa’s integration withWindows Explorer makes efficient the searching, viewing, and collaborating ondocuments across a distributed enterprise.

Kinnosa 4.1includes additional Workflow Services to manage and automate real-world businessprocesses, such as design, collaboration, review, release and publishingactivities. Kinnosa users that design using SolidWorks can easily generate a PDFRendition from a CAD file for quick review, document publishing, and a myriad ofother uses.
