Shapeways (Eindhoven, The Netherlands)  announced their Metal 3D Printing Contest,  which will make use of metal laser sintering (or Direct Metal Laser Sintering,  DMLS). It is similar to the regular SLS process used at Shapeways for its white, strong, and flexible material.

Also,  Shapeways will launch Shapeways Shops to enable users to sell models of their Shapeways designs. A customer designs, and Shapeways performs the production, shipping, billing, and customer service. To become a beta tester, sign up using the beta code “allmymodelsaresupermodels.”

For further information, visit Shapeways.
