Energica’s Partner area is experiencing steady growth, as Siemens Digital Industries Software has renewed its partnership with the Italian company for an additional 3 years. The software company will still provide technical expertise and knowledge—along with solutions from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio—to enable Energica’s advancements in battery technology and thermodynamic control, the companies report.

Siemens will continue to support Energica thanks to advanced 3D systems simulation and computational fluid dynamics methodologies from Siemens’ Xcelerator portfolio of software and services. Energica aims to benefit from the advantages offered by Siemens’ NX software for product engineering alongside Simcenter Amesim software, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ software and Simcenter FLOEFD software for battery performance simulation.

“Thanks to the experience gained, we can manage the entire process, from the design to the assembly of the batteries. Together with Siemens, we continue to increase our experience while also working together on the Digital twin of our bikes,” says Giampiero Testoni, chief technology officer, Energica Motor Co.

“Siemens is proud to continue its collaboration with Energica and support its innovation with our transformative digital twin-based software solutions and expertise. It’s another great example of how leaders and pioneers are adopting Siemens Xcelerator to explore the electrification of the mobility industry and build a sustainable battery industry,” says Puneet Sinha, senior director, Battery Industry, Siemens Digital Industries Software.
