ESI Group (Paris, France and San Diego) has released the 2006 versionof CFD-CADalyzer, its CAD-linked CFD (computational fluid dynamics)software. Version 2006 includes a new “intelligent” boundary-layermeshing sequence that suppresses tiny features to build a betterquality mesh foundation for complex geometry problems duringpre-processing.
CFD-CADalyzer 2006 CAD enables engineers and CFD analysts to performdesign-level analysis using a simple, intuitive simulation interface.Offering built-in pre- and post-processors, CFD-CADalyzer lets yousimulate heat and flow transfer and allows you to compare results overa range of varying geometries and operational conditions.
CFD-CADalyzer 2006 is designed to integrate with such leading CADapplications such as Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, Pro/Engineer,SolidWorks, Solid Edge, and Unigraphics. ESI-Group asserts that the smoothness of theintegration eliminates the pitfalls associated with translation betweendifferent geometry representations, which, in turn, also reduces designtime.
After you integrate CFD-CADalyzer 2006, you can use mathematicalfunctions as input for boundary condition values in addition to thestructural and deformation modeling capabilities of CFD-ACE+, an ESIGroup software package available separately. You can visualizepost-processing results quickly with a one-button-click animationfeature. Other new features in CADalyzer 2006 include a strip chart, carpet plot, a larger memory capacity of 3 GB, and the ability totailor mouse behavior and color schemes to match your CAD packages.
