AVEVA Plant 12.0.SP6 Released

AVEVA Plant 12.0.SP6 engineering design and visualization software supports the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. The 12.0.SP6 release is fully compatible with both the 32- and 64-bit Windows 7 platforms. In combination with new hardware systems, Windows 7 supports larger 3D PDMS models and offers greater overall software performance.

“While Windows 7 support is the big headline for the new AVEVA Plant, we shouldn’t overlook the significant performance optimizations and new functional extensions that this release also contains,” says Peter Brunning, design product manager at AVEVA.  “In this release we have addressed more than 100 user requests for functional improvements, enhanced our graphical user interface, and tuned up the performance on a number of operations.   To give just a couple of examples, the release includes an update of our Open Steel interface, version 2.1, which now manages complex plates and curved members, and support for the Steel Detailing Neutral File (SDNF) format for greater compatibility with 3rd-party steel detailing applications. A native 64-bit implementation of the new AVEVA Review 12.1 can now handle much larger models with better performance.”

AVEVA Plant (12.0 series SP6) is now shipping to existing and new AVEVA customers running on Microsoft Windows 7 operating systems, as well as those still running on Windows XP.
