Altium, a provider of ECAD design data management solutions, has released the next generation of its Vault platform. Version 2.1 helps improve workflow and usability for day-to-day operations, saving time and reducing errors, the company states. The Vault provides design teams to centralize, manage and formalize component libraries, design data and collaboration.
According to the company, the platform provides teams with:
- A centralized location to manage components and supply chain data.
- Managed copies of all templates, reference and current designs with change information as well as revisions.
- Effective collaboration on projects across multiple design domains. Users can also co-design in real time on the same PCB (printed circuit board).
- A design environment infrastructure management for IT departments.
