Updated performance evaluation software for systems running Autodesk 3ds Max 9.

SPECapc was formed in 1997 to address performance evaluation based on popular workstation applications. SPECapc is part of the Standard Performance Evaluation Corp. (Warrenton, VA), a non-profit corporation formed to establish, maintain, and endorse a standardized set of relevant benchmarks that can be applied to the newest generation of computers.

SPECapc for 3ds Max 9 updates run rules and code from the previous 3ds Max benchmark for use with 3ds Max 9. The new version will enable vendors, users, and testing labs to evaluate performance of the latest hardware systems running Autodesk 3ds Max 9.

“We were able to make this update quickly because of the major release last year of an entirely new 3ds Max benchmark,” says Dan Bennett, SPECapc chairman. “We’ll continue to look for new models and workflows that reflect the day-to-day work of 3ds Max users.”
