Rasterex Software (Oslo, Norway) released RxAutoImage R8.2 for raster editing and raster-to-vector conversion, with support for AutoCAD 2008/AutoCAD LT 2008 and Windows Vista. A free trial version for evaluation available for download.
RxAutoImage is an ARX application that works directly inside AutoCAD by converting scanned drawings to vector information, and turning AutoCAD into a true CAD and GIS hybrid editor. It combines the power of AutoCAD with intelligent raster editing technology, and vector conversions.
New benefits in version R8.2 include AutoCAD 2008 and AutoCAD LT 2008 support, works with all AutoCAD 2008 products, and with all earlier versions of AutoCAD (back to AutoCAD 2000); it is fully Windows Vista compatible. It can also be used with other Autodesk products, like Mechanical Desktop, Architectural Desktop and AutoCAD Map.
Rasterex’s product family is divided into RxAutoImage for AutoCAD and RxSpotlight for Windows.
RxAutoImage is updated every year, following each release of AutoCAD; the maintenance contract provides the free release automatically. New customers can download a free trial copy for evaluation.
