Altair announces the latest addition to the Altair Partner Alliance family: Power Smart Control and its tool SmartCtrl.
SmartCtrl provides a solution for the design and optimization of power converter control. It gives users of varying levels of expertise ability to reduce development time, and incorporate system transfer functions, according to Altair.
Key features of the tool are:
- Predefined topologies
- System frequency response/AC sweep import
- Powerful equation editor
- Digital control
- Real-time design, data, and plots
One of the highlights is its integration with simulation tools like Altair PSIM. Users can design the control stage of their power converter with SmartCtrl and export it to PSIM for comprehensive simulation and validation. There will be a webinar on this highlight on September 20.
The inclusion of Power Smart Control to the Altair Partner Alliance helps Altair continue to provide comprehensive software solutions, the company reports.
