Altair has added Materialise, a provider of rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing to its Altair Parter Alliance. This partnership means that 3-matic STL is available to HyperWorks users.
The 3-matic STL platform allows for editing STL files as well as scanned and CAD data to ensure optimized 3D printing. Users can work directly on STL files, create 3D textures, remesh and exchange individual parts of 3D geometry.
Materialise recently released version 9.0 of the platform, and new features include an Edit Curve feature, an updated Lightweight Structures module and slice-based texturing.
“Materialise is pleased to be able to offer 3-matic STL to HyperWorks users through the Altair Partner Alliance,” said Lieve Boeykens, brand manager for Materialise. “The opportunities for collaboration between our software and solidThinking Inspire and solidThinking Evolve, for example, are extensive. We can’t wait to see how this partnership progresses.”
