Hexagon Metrology has released a new generation of external laser scanner to accompany the ROMER Absolute Arm. The Hexagon Probe Laser 20.8 (HP-L-20.8) replaces the CMS108 scanner, and will be demonstrated at the IMTS show in September.
New capabilities of the HP-L-20.8 include improved performances on complex surfaces such as machined, cast, stamped or forged metals, plastics, carbon fiber and more. It is fully integrated with the ROMER Absolute Arm and does not require additional cables or external controllers. There is also the option of switching between scanning and probing depending on the user’s needs.
The HP-L-20.8 has a line length of up to 230 mm and a scan rate of up to 150,000 points per second. Cloud capturing for data is also available.
