Eurocom Introduces Quad-Core Notebook for HPC

With Eurocom’s (Nepean, Ontario) new D900C Phantom-X Mobile Workstation, which is powered by Intel’s Quad Core 95W and FSB1333 E6x50 line of Core 2 Duo desktop processors, users gain workstation-caliber performance, graphics capabilities, and 750GB of storage with three SATA-300 hard drives.

Combined with RAID 0/1/5, and Intel FSB1333 Core 2 Duo or FSB1066 Quad Core processors, Blu Ray, DirectX10 and Dual SLI VGA support, the notebook is suitable for mobile high-end computing.

The D900C Phantom-X has modular VGA technology is based on NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX GPUs, GeForce Go8700GT, or NVIDIA Quadro FX1600M running in single or dual SLI video technology mode.

Eurocom Phantom-X supports ISV workstations including AutoCAD, Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, geographic information systems such as ESRI ArcGIS and Discreet 3DS MAX. It also supports both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems from Microsoft Vista Business or Ultimate, Microsoft Server 2003 64-bit and versions of Linux.

In graphics cards, users can choose the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX or Go 8700GT with 512MB of RAM, or the NVIDIA DX10-based Quadro FX1600M, also with 512MB of RAM. Additional features include integrated webcam; Bluetooth and Wireless N or superG 108Mbps A/B/G networking; internal TV HDTV Tuner and theatre audio system.
