Concurrent Systems Inc. Ltd. (Berkshire, UK), a developer of multi-CAD design data, project, and document management solutions, released DesignDataManager (DDM) 2008.1, which offers improvements such as updated CAD integrations to support the latest versions of CAD applications, as well as performance improvements.
Features include a silent client install/upgrade routine, and the user profile preferences are now stored server side so that if a user logs on at another terminal, an upgrade or rebuild preferences will be loaded next time they log in.
DDM supports 64-bit support for server installation and Vista Business/ Ultimate editions for client installation.
Other enhancements include multi-level BOM editing and an overhauled office document management interface that enables users to drag and drop documents and e-mails from MS Outlook directly onto the DDM interface. This is a single- or multi-select option that will save users time managing all of the documentation as well as the drawings and models.
DesignDataManager continues to support the latest releases of Inventor 2008, 2009; IronCAD Version 9, 10; Solid Edge Version 19, 20; SolidWorks 2007, 2008 32bit editions; SolidWorks 2007, 2008 64bit editions; Pro/ENGINEER 2001, Wildfire, WF2, WF3, WF4 32bit editions; Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2, WF3, WF4 64bit editions; AutoCAD 2008; and OneSpace Drafting 2008.
