CAD/CAM for concurrent design and manufacturing of prototype tools.

August 20, 2007 – After a successful implementation of Cimatron‘s (Givat Shmuel, Israel) integrated CAD/CAM solutions, the prototype production operations at MAHLE Group, a global automotive supplier, have sped up significantly.

MAHLE Group added prototype manufacturing to its services for automotive customers due to frequent engineering changes occurring at the prototype phase, providing MAHLE with a system that quickly and safely incorporated such changes into existing designs.

The Quick Compare functionality reduces the time and effort required to manage and implement engineering changes. The software analyzes and displays changes in design between different versions, allowing the designer to decide which changes to incorporate into the project, thereby avoiding needless steps, such as the separation of shapes.
