Altair has acquired KSK Analytics, a Japanese firm that offers strategic consulting and training in artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics, with a focus on manufacturing. KSK has been a reseller of the Altair RapidMiner platform for data analytics and AI for a decade-plus.

“Altair has had a presence in Japan for nearly thirty years and this acquisition expands our reach and technical depth in data science to better serve the growing AI market in Asia Pacific,” says James R. Scapa, founder and chief executive officer, Altair. “KSK’s best-in-class training program aligns with Altair’s Center of Excellence (COE) approach and delivers an advantage over other vendors in the Japanese market.”

The training offered by KSK enables users, especially non-data scientists, to apply data science methodologies to everyday challenges in engineering and business.

“KSK has offered Altair RapidMiner—the leading data analytics and AI platform—to some of the most forward-thinking customers in Japan,” says Yoshiteru Morimoto, chief executive officer, KSK Analytics. “Joining Altair will allow us to further expand our one-of-a-kind training program and make it available to even more users around the world.”

Altair RapidMiner is designed to help diverse teams—rom data scientists and engineers to business analysts and executives—generate and share data-driven insights across an organization. The platform offers a path to modernization for established data analytics teams as well as a path to automation for teams just getting started.
