3Dconnexion (San Jose, CA) announced that its complete line of 3D mice are now supported by the Nemetschek North America (Columbia, MD) VectorWorks 2008 line of precision-design software, including Designer, Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, Machine Design, Fundamentals, and RenderWorks.
With 3Dconnexion’s 3D mice, the VectorWorks community can easily control and maneuver 3D objects, 3D designs, and 2D drafts for a streamlined design process that optimizes workflow and increases productivity.
3Dconnexion’s SpaceNavigator, SpaceNavigator for Notebooks, SpaceExplorer and SpacePilot feature customizable buttons, giving users the ability to program frequently used commands using custom function macros. SpaceNavigator also offers default pre-configured programmable buttons assigned with key VectorWorks functions.
3Dconnexion also announced that its line of 3D mice is now supported by Kineo CAM‘s (Labege, France) Path Planner, an application that assists CAD mechanical engineers in dynamic assembly and dismounting simulations and analysis. CAD designers working with Kineo Path Planner
can more intuitively interact with the 3D environment, decreasing time spent on managing application complexity and allowing more time for critical design and manufacturing needs. For a complete list of all supported applications, visit 3Dconnexion.
