Wayland Connect In-Process Monitoring Software Available

Wayland Connect software supports running its Calibur3 metal eBeam additive manufacturing (AM) systems.

Access to the online dashboard is available via a secure licensing system, and allows for in-process monitoring and configuration management of the machine.

Wayland Additive shares the full release of its Wayland Connect software to support running its Calibur3 metal eBeam additive manufacturing (AM) systems. The Wayland Connect software can be accessed by customers via two platforms. First, it is offered to users online for each of their Calibur3 machines and enables full in-process monitoring of every build via this interface.

Access to the online dashboard is available via a secure licensing system, and allows for in-process monitoring and configuration management of the machine. Wayland Connect collects and archives data from each build, allowing users to perform analysis reports on machine performance and build successes based on the machine’s configurations. This enables machine learning capabilities to optimize future builds and support pre-emptive maintenance.

Second, the Wayland Connect app, available via Apple and Android platforms, is an advanced real-time machine-monitoring app for Calibur3 users. It gives remote access for users so they can monitor their Calibur3 metal AM machine(s) anytime, anywhere for evidence that live builds are on track. It also allows users to configure push notifications for real-time alerts for any operational parameters they want to observe and check. Offering immediate access to the progress of live builds, including all vital parameters, the App also enables access to live images of the build chamber.

“We have developed Wayland Connect to provide our Calibur3 customers with an advanced tool to monitor each and every one of their builds with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface whether they are accessing it via the dashboard or the app,” says Sohail Saddique, senior software engineer at Wayland Additive. “Access to information on live builds provides assurance and peace of mind, especially if users are remote from the machine, for example overnight. The extensive in-process monitoring capabilities installed on the Calibur3 systems can be accessed easily and quickly with Wayland Connect to provide an up-to-the minute status report of the machine and the build in progress.”

Wayland Connect has been running on existing machines in beta trials.
