Synera, the low-code platform for engineering process automation, reports integration of engineering software from Siemens Digital Industries Software into its platform. Engineers can now process designs and CAD data directly from product engineering solutions from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of industries software tools and then import the results back.
In addition to the integration with Siemens’ NX software, Siemens’ Solid Edge software users can use Synera workflows to shorten the time product modeling, design and simulation processes and eliminate repetitive manual activities, the companies report.
The latest integration goes beyond simple data exchange and extends to the ability to make parametric adjustments to the CAD model within Synera or run selected Synera workflows from within Siemens’ NX Algorithmic Modeler. Designers can save Synera workflows in NX, access and update versioning via integration with Siemens’ Teamcenter software for product lifecycle management (PLM), access the Parasolid kernel in Synera, or exchange data such as geometries and simulation files with Teamcenter.
