Stratasys, PTC Partner for Additive Manufacturing Software

The companies are simplifying the workflow between Creo and the Objet500 Connex system.

Stratasys and PTC have entered a partnership to integrate PTC Creo with Stratasys’ 3D printing solutions. The goal, according to a company press release, is to make additive manufacturing more accessible to designers and enable them to fully leverage the technology’s advantages.

The companies plan to offer a singular workflow in PTC 3.0 that allows users to go directly from design to 3D print. Users will be able to perform design specification, file preparation, print optimization and print execution within the Creo platform.

The first compatible system is the Stratasys Objet500 Connex3, which has multi-color and multi-material printing.

”Lowering the barriers involved in designing for 3D printing and unlocking the vast potential of additive manufacturing are primary goals of Stratasys’ strategic vision,” said Dan Yalon, executive vice president, Business Development, Marketing & Vertical Solutions at Stratasys. “By cooperating together, PTC and Stratasys intend to bring significant value to our customers – making additive manufacturing more accessible while providing practical, easy-to-use tools for designing and manufacturing using 3D printing.”
