Siemens PLM Software has announced the latest full-function versions of Solid Edge software and Femap software with NX Nastran, can be downloaded and used at no-charge for 45 days. This offer provides free trial licenses for the full production versions of Solid Edge ST4 and Femap 10.2, and includes access to learning resources. Interested parties have the option to download either or both applications.
Solid Edge ST4 users will experience 3D computer-aided design (CAD) with synchronous technology, which the company says combines the speed and flexibility of direct modeling with the control of dimension-driven design. Femap users will benefit from computer-aided engineering analysis (CAE) delivered in an application. The software is available in multiple languages.
The Solid Edge trial delivers full function mainstream CAD capabilities including part modeling, surfacing, sheet metal design, assembly design, drafting, assembly applications, simulation, rendering, mold tooling design, web publisher, and data translators.
The Femap trial includes all finite element modeling (FEM) pre- and post-processing capabilities necessary to use the NX Nastran finite element analysis (FEA) solver, which is also included in the trial. Both the Dynamic Response and Optimization add-ons to NX Nastran are part of the offering. There are no restrictions on the number of saves, part sizes, or other factors that would limit a users ability to create complete product designs.
