Siemens PLM Software has released Teamcenter Mobility 3.0 and Teamcenter AppShare 2.0. Both are available for download from the Apple App Store.

Teamcenter Mobility 3.0 is now free. The solution also gives Teamcenter Reporting and Analytics licensees access to project dashboards to view critical metrics, key performance indicators (KPI) and reports. It supports commercial authentication tools using 401 responses, and includes other performance and usability enhancements.

Teamcenter AppShare 2.0 extends access to online conferences to the iPhone and iPod Touch, in addition to the iPad. It enables users to join online conference while on the road or away from their desk using portrait orientation.

Siemens PLM also released a new version of Tecnomatrix (11), its digital manufacturing solution.

Enhancements include 10% faster robotic simulation and offline programming; deeper integration between 3D documents and standard textual instructions; complete Body-in-White (BiW) processing with Manufacturing Process Planner and Process Simulate on Teamcenter; and two-way integration between PLM and the Simatic MES (manufacturing execution system) that automates the creation of the manufacturing work plan in the Simatic MES product and allows for data and issue capture from the MES system back into Teamcenter.

Enhancements to the enterprise bill-of-process (BOP) and line balancing capabilities automate mixed-model and mixed-plant BOP creation, and allow for balancing a manufacturing line with multiple product variants.
