ProMetal RCT, LLC, an Ex One Company, is now a North American distributor of Voxeljet’s 3D printing systems for investment casting patterns. The partnership complements ProMetal’s existing line of Rapid Casting Technology systems designed for enabling digital production of sand molds and cores. In addition to equipment sales and services, ProMetal RCT will offer contract services.
What Voxeljet’s 3DP systems offer is the ability to produce complex plastic models with high surface quality and dimensional accuracy. Parts can be formed layer by layer as a binder is printed on thermoplastic powder from a CAD design. The systems from both RCT and Voxeljet’s 3DP systems allow for flexibility and freedom in components such as thin wall, delicate or lacy patterns or cores with great elaboration. Also, many small, individual parts can be printed at the same time, to produce small lot sizes of many different components.
