PolyWorks 3D 2015 Released

InnovMetric Software Inc. has released the 2015 version of its PolyWorks 3D metrology software platform. This release, the company states, is focused on enhancing measurement quality, repeatability and productivity.

Highlighted capabilities of this release include feature scanning guidance and an integrated workflow to perform 2D feature-based inspection.

The new workflow consists of creating a planar section; defining nominal features on the nominal component of the section; and extracting these features on the measured component of the section.

Additionally, version 2015 has a new sample concept in SPC with four new control charts, a high-quality point cloud data object type and targeted-based device position alignment capabilities. These alignment capabilities, the company states, meet requirements of laser tracker operators in the aerospace industry.
