Ping Golf Uses CAE and HPC for Virtual Prototyping

Eric Morales, senior research engineer at PING Golf, explains how combining CAE simulation with the latest HPC technology has greatly reduced product development time.

Eric Morales, senior research engineer at PING Golf, explains how combining CAE simulation with the latest HPC technology has greatly reduced product development time. He says the company has used Altair’s Display Manager to optimize their CFD workflow designing new golf clubs.

“Using Display Manager has really saved us a lot of time. It’s the most significant thing we've done since the original jump to HPC….It’s saving us almost half a day, every day, and it really streamlines our process and gets us to that final answer so much quicker,” says Morales, engineer and design analyst at Ping Golf.

Altair is focused on the development and application of simulation technology to synthesize and optimize designs, processes and decisions for improved business performance. Privately held with more than 2,300 employees, Altair is headquartered in Troy, MI, and operates more than 45 offices throughout 23 countries.
