Open Design Alliance (ODA) announced the release of version 3.8 of Teigha, its software development platform for engineering applications.
Version 3.8 incorporates performance enhancements and a large number of bug fixes donated to ODA by its members, as well as improvements made by the ODA development team, the group says.
Updates include the beta version of Teigha for Java, support for Windows 8 and Visual Studio 2012, and support for 2013 .dwg files.
“Teigha for Java is significant in two respects,” said ODA CTO Neil Peterson. “First, it was created using the same SWIG automation framework used for Teigha.NET, which greatly reduced the project scope and complexity. Second, we worked cooperatively with an ODA member who provided critical Java expertise and support. This combination of automation technology along with domain expertise from the ODA membership represents a powerful development model for the ODA going forward.”
