Nikon SLM Solutions announces the establishment of a dedicated engineering team in the United States, aimed at enhancing support and collaboration with its U.S. customers. 

Nneji Kemakolam has assumed the role of vice president of Engineering for the United States, reporting out of Nikon SLM's newly established headquarters in Long Beach, CA. With an engineering and product development background and experience in additive manufacturing, Nneji will lead the North American engineering initiatives, driving process enhancements, product design innovations, and product launches.

The new engineering team will help represent Nikon SLM Solutions with strategic customers and future partners. This group will focus on:

  • Enhancing collaboration with US customers by aligning engineering efforts with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Growing the North American engineering organization through strategic recruitment and staffing, ensuring the execution of key product development activities.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for local engineering personnel, fostering strong communication and coordination with global engineering departments.
  • Building relationships with local universities and research institutes to access top talent, explore external research projects, and evaluate emerging technologies that are partnered with major US OEMs.
