New STL File Repair Software Available from Avante Technology

Avante Technology LLC., a provider of advanced 3D printing technologies, has released Emendo. The software is an automated STL file repair and validation application. It, according to the company, is the first low-cost file repair software that analyzes and repairs 3D STL files and optimizes repair time. It is available for Mac operating systems, and Avante is planning on offering a Windows version.

Emendo’s automated repair architecture fixes the seven classes of errors that are common among STL files. From a single button, users can initiate the validation process. If there are any remaining errors, the process can be run multiple times. The software’s repair mode is optimized for accuracy and repaired file size.
