Moxa has unveiled three new PCI Express x1 serial cards equipped with Windows, Linux operating systems and patent-pending intelligent RS-485 technology.
RS-485 technology is ideal for engineers needing to create small, private device networks for automation applications.
Moxa also incorporated “one-click” technology that can analyze network topology and configure terminators and resistors to optimal settings, the company states. The boards include on-board LED display, troubleshooting management, 128-byte FIFO and bi-directional speeds of up to 921.6Kb/s.
The new boards are:
- CP-116E-A: 16 port with 15 kV ESD and 4kV surge protection, RS-232/422/485 PCIe x1 compliant
- CP-188E-A-I and CP128E-A-I: 8-port 3-in-1, 4kV surge protection and 2kV electrical isolation
- CP-134EL-A-I: 4-port RS-422/485 PCI express board
