LMS launches LMS Imagine.Lab Rev12

LMS has launched Rev12 of its flagship platform for mechatronic system simulation, LMS Imagine.Lab. New features and improvements are focused on user efficiency, controls engineering support, collaboration and application-oriented solutions. LMS, which was recently acquired by Siemens, is now a business segment within Siemens PLM Software.

The new Apps Designer allows design engineers to easily create application-specific pre- and post-processing tools linked to certain models or components. Major improvements in the Supercomponent capabilities have also been made, including the ability to easily edit icons, ports and images, as well as the ability to encrypt Supercomponents to protect intellectual property.

The solution has a fully integrated, redesigned Simulink environment interface. It enables users to create and configure the AMESim interface in Simulink without the need for any Matlab environment scripts. In addition, an NI VeriStand interface has been developed, extending the integration of AMESim into MiL/SiL/HiL processes.

To extend the Model-Based System Engineering capabilities of LMS Imagine.Lab, Rev12 comes with a new integrated SysDM client for AMESim. With this new feature, the AMESim user can benefit directly from SysDM’s model and data management features through an efficient and transparent integration in the day-to-day working environment.

The solution also integrates new ropes and pulleys components for applications such as cranes and band conveyors. It also includes a new Adaptive Thermal-Hydraulic solution, making it possible to select the necessary level of assumption for the type of analysis to be performed on fluid systems.
