L.A. CAD, Inc. (Costa Mesa, CA) will launch its enhanced Knowledge Trax software skills-assessment and training-development solution at Autodesk University 2006, November 28 to December 1 in Las Vagas. Knowledge Trax now encompasses the full spectrum of CAD-related Autodesk software, including infrastructure, building design, and manufacturing applications.
Knowledge Trax is a personalized assessment solution with online knowledge-management tools that allows organizations to evaluate their employees’ CAD-related software skills, then identify and deliver appropriate training.
Individual Knowledge Trax training participants are posed a series of pre-skills inventory questions. Their answers, which are confirmed by a second level of questions called the “answer-confidence meter,” determine their skill level in the “feature-set” areas within the technology they currently use - drawing and editing, for example. The results allow L.A. CAD, Inc. to offer companies an assessment of their employees’ knowledge gaps and recommend modular training solutions.
L.A. CAD, Inc. training solutions are available in several different forms, including “live” e-learning, modular group training, project or task training, open enrollment training, 4-hour workshops, and seminar style training.
L.A. CAD acquired Knowledge Trax from CorDax this past spring and is currently the solution’s exclusive provider. The new Knowledge Trax, says L.A. CAD, is easier to use than previous versions. Knowledge Trax now encompasses the full range of CAD-related Autodesk software, including Inventor, Civil 3D, and Revit.
