Siemens PLM Software and Joe Gibbs Racing have announced the extension of their technology partnership through 2016. The announcement was made at Siemens PLM Software’s NX CAE Symposium, hosted by Joe Gibbs Racing in Charlotte, NC. The contract extension covers the full suite of Siemens PLM Software products

“It is very appropriate that the extension of our technology partnership with Siemens PLM Software is being announced today at the NX CAE Symposium because the NX CAE tools have been so instrumental in our success on the race track,” said Nelson Cosgrove, director of engineering, Joe Gibbs Racing. “The structural, thermal, and CFD simulation tools in NX CAE allow us to maximize each vehicle’s structural integrity and performance while we simultaneously minimize vehicle weight. The result is fewer failures, faster lap times and more wins for our drivers.”

“We have been working with the people of Siemens PLM Software for more than 10 years and today’s announcement further strengthens our successful relationship,” said Joe Gibbs, owner of Joe Gibbs Racing. “The company’s broad portfolio of integrated product development and data management applications enable us to operate under extremely demanding time constraints and still meet our high standards of quality and performance.”
