International Manufacturing Technology Show Announces 2014 Overview

The 2014 International Manufacturing Technology Show has announced its program for this year. The conference’s theme is “Come Together,” and will be in Chicago from September 8 to 13. Attendees can also visit the co-located Industrial Automation North America show.

The show, according to a conference press release, will host more than 100,000 industrial decision makers from more than 110 countries. More than 15,000 new machines, controls, computers, software components and processors will be on display.

Attendees can listen to 69 one-hour presentations over the course of four days focused on providing solutions to current manufacturing problems such as improving productivity and part quality as well as developing a stable workforce.  The five track topics are Process Innovations, Alternative Manufacturing Processes, Plant Operations, Quality/Metrology and Systems Integration.

On display at the AMT (Association for Manufacturing Technology) Emerging Technology Center will be the 3D printed electric car by Local Motors. Along with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Local Motors will assemble the car over the course of the show.

“As we plan IMTS, we work hard to offer our exhibitors and visitors a complete experience.
