Eye-Sys (Columbia, SC), designed for data-driven, real-time visualization, has been released by Interactive Data Visualization, Inc. (IDV) to offer versatility and an intuitive user interface to meet the demands of visualizing complex and dynamic data of all types, including real-time 3D applications for visual simulation and engineering visualization.
Everything from text files and 3D models to databases and streaming data can be brought into Eye-Sys, manipulated, and then viewed together interactively in real-time. In one tutorial, one of the steps is the Eye-Sys ‘bouncing ball’ where new Eye-Sys users can learn the basic mechanics of the application while visualizing data from a common simulation. These basic skills can be applied to build arbitrarily complex systems.
Beta versions of Eye-Sys have been put to use for intelligence, military, industrial, and research purposes, as the software was developed and partially funded through engagements with the U.S. Dept of Defense, research organizations, and defense contractors.
Eye-Sys will license for $3,995 per seat and $9,995 per floating license. Additional prices and options, a 90-second demo, and more information about the product are available from IDV.
