Honeywell has announced its new Basic Board Mount Pressure Sensors, the TBP Series.
These new sensors, according to the company, are designed for customers needing a simple, high-quality, cost-effective, basic performance mV output sensor that allows for custom amplification and maximum resolution.
Used to measure gauge pressures, this series can be used in medical and industrial applications. Some uses include hospital beds, oxygen concentrators, blood pressure monitoring, air movement and environmental control and leak detection.
The TBP Series Basic Board Mount Pressure Sensors offer a pressure range of 1 to 150 psi, and an operating temperature range of -4o°F to 257°F. Honeywell adds this series have an unlimited shelf life, can be calibrated within one hour after reflow solder and are modern lead-free, no-clean solder compatible. These sensors are also compact, with a package size of 7 x 7 mm.
“The new TBP Series are designed to be flexible to meet the varying needs of our customers,” said Jacqueline Leff, senior product marketing manager. “Their small size and numerous package options simplify placement on crowded PC boards, a wide pressure range allows for use in applications requiring higher pressures, and their low current consumption allows for use in battery applications. Additionally, customers can count on a fast response for quotes and samples, and a supply chain that is available throughout their development cycle.”
