EOS and Advanced Laser Materials Announce Strategic Partnership
The combined mindshare of both companies will further development of plastic materials for rapid manufacturing.

EOS (Krailling, Munich, Germany) and Advanced Laser Materials, LLC (ALM) (Temple,TX), announced a strategic partnership whereby EOS will act as a majority shareholder with 51 percent of ALM shares. The combined knowledge of both companies is expected further advance the development of plastic materials for rapid manufacturing via laser-sintering.
Recently, ALM introduced the new fire-retardant polyamide, FR-106, designed for use in the laser-sintering process which is very applicable to the aerospace industry, a key target market for EOS. EOS in turn will open up new markets for ALM in Europe, and hopes to gain new markets via the collaboration, particularly in the U.S.
