Editor’s Pick: Dashboard Analysis for National Security Multi-domain Designs

The U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems makes available System of Systems (SoS) Testbed, a virtual platform that models, simulates and evaluates fielded and new technologies for multi-domain national security operational environments. 

BAE Systems says the testbed is an open architecture system, allowing it to combine inputs from various existing models, simulations, analytics and mission software. It can link formal architecture specifications, digital architecture modeling, high-fidelity modeling and simulation, and advance command and control (C2) enabling technologies, all tied to a digital, virtual mission scenario. 

The company says the SoS Testbed is designed to model platforms, sensors and mission systems at the data level to identify technical and system limitations. It then recommends areas where emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced automation can enhance time-sensitive operational timelines and joint targeting missions.

The company says their open architecture approach provides a rapid, safe experimentation environment to virtually test breakthrough technologies needed for enhanced joint multi-domain operations.
