Diversified Technical Systems Unveils New Sensor

Diversified Technical Systems (DTS), has released a new high-shock six-degrees-of-freedom sensor package. The company is a supplier of data recorders that are used in crash, blast and biomechanics testing. 

The new DTS 6DX PRO is designed for applications that require measuring high rates of shock and angular velocity. It packages three accelerometers and three angular rate sensors in a sealed enclosure that is less than 19 x 19 x 14.5 mm. It weights only 12 grams and is shock rated to 20,000 g. It is calibrated at meets NHTSA, FAA, ISO 6478 and SAE J211 regulations.

“DTS has helped collect data from manikins in jetliner and helicopter crash tests, from a stunt high diver plunging over 10 meters into only 300 mm of water, from rodeo riders, aerobatic pilots, cadavers and many more unique, human injury related applications,” says Steve Pruitt, president and co-founder of DTS. “Nothing else comes close.”
